FundRiseHERTM Country Affilate
Hello and Welcome to our community, so excited that you took action and visited today!! Together we will be making history!
I am Georgina Terry, the Passions to Profitability Expert and the country affiliate for Trinidad and Tobago for FundRiseHER.
My mission is to support career professionals and leaders in medium and large organisations and aspiring or established growth orientated women entrepreneurs to TAKE the necessary actions to surpass their business and personal goals in order to live their version of Freedom!
I started my company, Business and People Development (BPD) Associates Limited nearly 10 years ago and it has been an amazing journey! Prior to starting, my own business I worked for the Economist and PriceWaterhouseCoppers. I am originally from London, England and have resided in beautiful Trinidad and Tobago since 2002.
I am a qualified accountant, business and leadership coach, inspirational international speaker, facilitator, change management consultant and author of the best-selling book, The Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom.
Due to my expertise and the work delivered in the entrepreneurial field, I was selected and certified as an InfoDev Facilitator for Trinidad and Tobago’s Women Innovation of the Caribbean Acceleration Program (WINC AP). WNCAP is a seven-year program funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by the infoDev entrepreneurship program of the World Bank Group, designed to support regional Growth Orientated Women Entrepreneurs.
I believe supporting women to start and grow successful sustainable business is great for the business owner, the economy and ultimately creates an amazing and strong foundation for future generations.
My desire to assist in making this different in women entrepreneurs lives both now and the future, has led me to being part of a phenomenal network of Regional Women Entrepreneurs that has afforded me the opportunity to be the Women Entrepreneurship Day Ambassador for Trinidad and Tobago since 2015. Also through this regional network, I am now able me to provide further support by providing this opportunity of funding for women entrepreneurs.
Hi, welcome to FundRiseHer, the Caribbean’s premier funding solution that exemplifies the true spirit of sister to sister empowerment, inclusivity, collaboration and limitless possibility.
I’m Glenda Joseph-Dennis, Country Affiliate for Trinidad and Tobago. I’m a Business Development Consultant, Facilitator and Owner/Managing Director of CARIFIC (Caribbean Fashion Industry Consulting Limited). My practice as an entrepreneur and consultant combine to give me over thirty years of experience in the SME sector and I am bent on empowering business leaders to grow and take their businesses to the pinnacle of success.
My early incarnation as a practising economist and researcher along with my background in Spanish and International Relations has benefitted the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC); the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); the EU and CARICOM.
Notwithstanding the success and gratification that this brought, I have never been able to resist the pull of Fashion which engulfed me from childhood. Having owned and operated two manufacturing and retail establishments in the fashion industry for over twenty years, I decided in 2007 to expand my areas of expertise into Consulting, the core of which centres around Organizational Development, Strategic Planning and Project Management. This very rewarding aspect of my calling commits me to assist state as well as private enterprises in achieving their strategic objectives of promoting entrepreneurship and building sustainable and profitable businesses. I facilitate and implement public and private developmental initiatives that focus on entrepreneurship, fashion, clustering, business growth, innovation, competitiveness and sustainability among SMEs. I also partner with high-level management consulting teams to service the strategic needs of large corporate, regional, governmental and academic institutions and NGOs
A new realm embraced me in 2015 when due to my experience and expertise I was selected and accredited as one of the Facilitators for the infoDev Women Innovators of the Caribbean Acceleration Program in Trinidad and Tobago. As of that moment I became a part of a unique group that blossomed into a powerful network of like-minded women bent on empowering other Caribbean women. As a result, I also became involved in the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day movement in Trinidad and Tobago in 2015. Now here I am fervently engaged with FundRiseHer, the Commonwealth’s premier Caribbean crowd funding initiative. I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to participate in this funding initiative through an option of your choice.
